class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Los triptanos son una clase de medicamentos que se utilizan para aliviar los s\u00edntomas del ataque de migra\u00f1a y el dolor de cabeza en racimo. Incluyen almotript\u00e1n, eletript\u00e1n, frovatript\u00e1n, naratript\u00e1n, rizatript\u00e1n, sumatript\u00e1n, zolmitript\u00e1n y se utilizan generalmente cuando los analg\u00e9sicos est\u00e1ndar y los AINE no son eficaces. Los diferentes tipos de triptanos vienen en diferentes marcas y diferentes formas de administraci\u00f3n. Los triptanos deben tomarse cuando el paciente comienza a sentir el desarrollo de un dolor de cabeza por migra\u00f1a, y NO antes de que eso suceda, ya que pueden ser menos efectivos si se toman demasiado temprano en un ataque de migra\u00f1a.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>La causa de las migra\u00f1as no est\u00e1 clara, pero la teor\u00eda m\u00e1s com\u00fan es que los vasos sangu\u00edneos en partes del cerebro se vuelven m\u00e1s estrechos y entran en espasmos, y luego se dilatan y causan dolor de cabeza. Tambi\u00e9n se teoriza que los qu\u00edmicos en el cerebro aumentan en actividad y partes del cerebro pueden enviar se\u00f1ales confusas que causan los s\u00edntomas dolorosos. La 5-hidroxitriptamina (5HT), tambi\u00e9n conocida como serotonina, es una sustancia qu\u00edmica que se encuentra en el cerebro y act\u00faa uni\u00e9ndose a ciertos sitios o receptores en varias c\u00e9lulas del cuerpo. Una vez adherido, crea un conjunto de reacciones dentro de las c\u00e9lulas, que incluyen el estrechamiento de los vasos sangu\u00edneos y, por lo tanto, provocan s\u00edntomas de migra\u00f1a y dolor de cabeza. Los triptanos, o agonistas de 5HT1, se dirigen a los mismos receptores que el 5HT para contrarrestar los efectos del 5HT y aliviar las migra\u00f1as al unirse a los receptores 5HT en el cerebro, que se encuentran en los vasos sangu\u00edneos. Cuando los vasos sangu\u00edneos se inflaman debido a una migra\u00f1a, la presencia de triptanos puede estrechar el vaso sangu\u00edneo, quitando la presi\u00f3n de los vasos sangu\u00edneos del tejido cercano y eliminando el dolor. Los triptanos est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para usarse durante un ataque de migra\u00f1a y no para evitar que se produzca uno, y el paciente debe esperar hasta que sienta una leve molestia en lugar de tomar el tript\u00e1n cuando sienta que puede estar desarroll\u00e1ndose una migra\u00f1a.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Los triptanos se diferencian de las ergotaminas en que no ofrecen tantos efectos secundarios y no causan dolores de cabeza debido a su uso excesivo con tanta frecuencia como las ergotaminas. Se pueden administrar mediante una inyecci\u00f3n, un aerosol nasal o una tableta. Hay varios tipos de triptanos, y un tipo de tript\u00e1n que funciona bien en un paciente puede no funcionar en otros. Tampoco existe el mejor tipo de triptano que se adapte a todos, aunque todos los triptanos probablemente funcionar\u00edan bien con la mayor\u00eda de las personas que sufren de migra\u00f1a. Los efectos secundarios var\u00edan entre los diferentes tipos, por lo que si el primer tript\u00e1n no funciona bien o causa efectos secundarios molestos, vale la pena probar un tipo diferente. En algunas personas, encontrar el triptano adecuado puede significar probar algunos diferentes. Con los triptanos, es posible un dolor de cabeza inducido por medicamentos. Esto ocurre cuando se toman analg\u00e9sicos con demasiada frecuencia para los dolores de cabeza de tipo tensional y los s\u00edntomas de abstinencia empeoran la afecci\u00f3n.
